The Jordan Archive and Collection

Our collection of letters, books, documents and heirlooms is currently housed with the Cape Elizabeth Historical Preservation Society (CEHPS).  The Jordan Archive and Collection recently moved with CEHPS to the Bachelor Officers' Quarters on the grounds of Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Granddaughter of Rev Robert and Sarah Winter Jordan


The original painting was sold to a private collector through Northeast Auction House in Manchester, New Hampshire in 2009. The Jordan Family Foundation was given a digital copy to have it transferred to canvas and framed.

Rev. Robert Jordan’s Baptismal Font


The Jordan Baptismal Font has been preserved for future descendants. This is the surviving artifact that Rev. Robert Jordan is known to have owned. It has been professionally conserved, and now in the ownership of  the Maine Historical Society in Portland, Maine.

“Hezekiah Iordan 1773" Powder Horn. This  Revolutionary War era powder horn dates to 1773. It was acquired by the Rev. Robert and Sarah Winter Jordan Foundation on May 21, 2010. 


Note: The inscription on the horn uses a capital initial “I” instead of a capital “J” in the name Jordan which was the style of the time when printing letters .
